For the San Gennaro 2017 festival in Naples, evening openings and free guided tours are organized at the Museo del Tesoro!
From the 18 26 2017 September il Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro will organize some special openings in honor of the festivity of San Gennaro and dell'ottavio, or the period of eight days in which they expose the ampoules containing the blood of the patron saint.
On September 18th there will be the “Waiting for the Miracle” event that it foresees the opening of the Museum all day and at 20: 30 theextraordinary evening opening of the Real Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro with suggestive free guided tours by the director Paolo Jorio, among the famous jewels, the seventeenth-century Sacristy and also in the treasure chapel of San Gennaro.
Le Free guided tours will continue throughout the eighth, until the September 26, the day when the feast of San Gennaro will end with the closing of the ampoules in the silver safe behind the high altar of the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro. This initiative is part of the wider programming of the Napolinfest 2017 which combines the celebrations of the four major Neapolitan religious festivals (feast of San Gennaro, Piedigrotta, Madonna del Rosario and the feast of Sant'Alfonso Maria Liguori).
