It resumes the public transport service of the 6 line of the Naples subway, with the following modes and time slots

La line 6 of the Naples subway, which connects the district of Fuorigrotta with Mergellina, will resume passenger transport service from tomorrow, Monday January 20 2014.

So far the Metronapoli service has been suspended due to extraordinary maintenance work started last 27 July 2013.

La subway line 6 will observe the following from tomorrow hours and methods of opening to the public:

  • Train service in operation from Monday to Friday, by 7: 30 14 to: 30, frequently 16 every minute
  • Saturday and Sunday subway closed to the public
  • Departures from the station of Show 7 pm: 30 14 to: 26
  • Departures from the station of Mergellina 7 pm: 35 14 to: 34

The 6 line of the Naples metro currently includes only 4 stations, Exhibition, Augusto, Lala and Mergellina, and is currently considered a "light" public transport service, limited in service and in the time slots in which it is in operation. It should include, in the future, an extension of other 4 stations that will connect Mergellina with Piazza Municipio, passing through the stations Arco Mirelli, San Pasquale and Chiaia-Monte di Dio. A service that could be really useful to connect the district of Fuorigrotta with the city center.
