At the Basilica of Pietrasanta in Naples a fascinating exhibition on Andy Warhol: an exhibition with over 150 works by the genius of Pop Art!
After five years from the last exhibition organized at Naples, Andy Warhol returns to the Neapolitan city for a new and fascinating exposition, which will take place from 26 September 2019 at the 23 February 2020 in the Basilica of Pietrasanta.
"The True Essence of Warhol" this is the title given to the evocative exhibition, organized by the Arthemisia Association which has already curated the exhibition on Chagall.
More than one will be exhibited 200 works who will show the whole artistic path of the Pop Art genius and his unconditional love for the city of Naples, which he visited several times during his life. You can admire the Campbell's Soup, the screen-printed portrait of Marilyn Monroe, created from a frame of Gene Korman, the famous serigraphs of Mao of the 1972 and the very famous Flowers of 1964.
In addition to the works that narrate Warhol's American activity at the beginning of the '900, there are also works that show the artist's connection with Italy and a focus dedicated to the city of Naples with its Vesuvius of 1985 and the Portrait of Beuys of 1980, created for the exhibition at the Amelio Gallery.
An event not to be missed to have the opportunity to watch live the fascinating works of this fantastic artist.
