Andy Warhol Pop Revolution, exhibition at the Mars in Cava de 'Tirreni with the works of the genius of pop art

The Mars in Cava de 'Tirreni hosts Andy Warhol Pop Revolution, an exhibition dedicated to the master of pop art with themed events and aperitifs!

For four months the Mars of Cava de 'Tirreni it is tinged with psychedelic colors, and it does so with the unmissable exhibition "Andy Warhol Pop Revolution" curated by Marzia Pasqualone. The appointment will be from the February 18 to the 18 June 2018 in the evocative rooms of the former XNUMXth century convent.

They will be exhibited 46 works and testimonies of what is considered one of the greatest exponents of pop art, born artistic movement between the 50s and 60s of the twentieth century. It is in collaboration with the Deodato Arte gallery, from which all the works come.

Through the installations it will be possible to discover the art of Warhol, master of the screen printing technique he used to reproduce faces and objects in series. His masterpieces are also connected works by other foreign and Italian artists that have become an icon of the pop revolution.

The works of Andy Warhol

As mentioned, in the exhibition there will be well 46 works by Andy Warhol. Among these, we mention the portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Mao Tse Tung and those of other famous people, there will also be i Flowers and Campbell's Soup, the original acetates, the signed objects and the disc covers. In addition, there will be a corpus of Warhol's digital experiments, unpublished works created with the Graficraft program of the Amiga 1000, which was the first multimedia PC. Andy Warhol was chosen as an exceptional testimonial and created a work at Lincoln Center in New York.

The other artists on show are Marco Lodola, Mr. Brainwash, Takashi Murakami, Felipe Cardeña, Tomoko Nagao, Mr. Savethewall. Rarities of galleries and private collections, such as lithographs and cards, are also exhibited signed in the original by Keith Haring and the works of Giuliano Grittini who uses Warhol's files created with the Amiga.

To better enjoy the exhibition, the Marte also offers Theatrical guided tours, themed aperitifs and events, while the little ones are dedicated to them snacks with the artist.

The laboratories are for the and students of schools of all levels, from 3 years on, to deepen the knowledge of Andy Wahrol and his works through an unconventional approach. Instead, le theatrical visits they want to lead the viewer into the deepest thoughts and stories of the works.

One of the works in the series "Flowers" will be re-elaborated in a personal way, with stamps, stencils, watercolors, various pastels.

The children will personalize one of the exhibition's portraits using the collage technique and using various materials.

Pop series - Recommended age: 3-16 years

Some products have been chosen from the catalog of a supermarket and photocopied many times in black and white. Everyone will have to color one of them in pop mode.

Pop creative recycling Recommended age: 5-16 years

The children will create their POP ART work with the multi-material collage technique.

Lab T-shirt - Recommended age: 9-19 years

T-shirt decoration according to the pop style.

Graffiti pop - Recommended age: 7-16 years

Creation of graffiti with various materials and colors.

Pop reinterpretation - Recommended age: 8-19 years

Transformation of a portrait into an icon or an ancient work in a pop opera.

Origami pop - Recommended age: 8-19 years

Use of the ancient art of origami: kids will bring home a 3D POP artwork.

Blotted line at Andy - Recommended age: 13-19 years

The blotted line technique consists in outlining an ink drawing, impressing it several times, while the ink is still wet, on a sheet of absorbent paper.
