Archeotreno Campania 2019 starts again: the splendid vintage train to travel from Naples to the excavations of Pompeii to the temples of Paestum!

Also this year it starts again the ArcheoTreno, the beautiful Trenitalia vintage train that will allow you to reach the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Paestum from Naples. This is an initiative by Ferrovie dello Stato in collaboration with the Campania Region.

Pompeii, Salerno and Sapri these are just some of the destinations that you can reach thanks to the ArcheoTreno. In Pompeii the train will stop for four hours, while in Paestum it will stop for two and a half hours to allow travelers to visit the archaeological excavations.

The vintage train that will depart from Naples will be active from April to November 2019 effecting one run a month on the following dates:

Ticket prices of the ArcheoTreno

  • Returns adults 20 euro
  • Children between 4 and 12 years old (not completed): round trip € 10,00
  • Children between 0 and 4 years: free. They must be accompanied by a paying adult and without a seat guarantee
  • One way or only return: 50% discount on the relative ticket
