The Berlin 1989 exhibition at the Maschio Angioino in Naples will celebrate a key moment in contemporary history until December
The Maschio Angioino of Naples will host from 31 October at the 1 December 2019 the photographic exhibition of Luciano Ferrara. It is a free event which aims to awaken in the historical memory of the city the memory of an event that has radically changed the Western way of thinking about the history and politics of Europe.
Luciano Ferrara is a professional photographer and photojournalist: born in Naples, he lived the dramatic and electrifying days of the fall of the wall on his skin. Photographs taken thirty years ago offer one objective but participatory historical reconstruction of an event that would have had a gigantic symbolic significance in the years to come.
Friday November 8 a conference on the events of Berlin will be held starting at 10.00 in the Palatine Chapel of the Maschio Angioino. Participants will be the author of the shots, the German ambassador in Naples, the councilor for Culture and Tourism of the municipality of Naples and the rector of the Eastern University of Naples.
