At the Palazzo Zevallos in Naples the beautiful Lamentation over the Dead Christ by the great artist Sandro Botticelli comes on display!

The beautiful and monumental Palazzo Zevallos, located in Via Toledo in Naples and Intesa Sanpaolo's museum, houses one of the most beautiful and expressive paintings of the great artist Sandro Botticelli.

The event curated by Alessandro Cecchi will be held from 22 June at the 29 September 2019 during which it will be possible to admire the fascinating "Lamentation of the Dead Christ" from the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan and depicting the moment when Jesus, after being detached from the cross on Golgotha, is about to be placed in the tomb.

The arrival of this beautiful painting in the city is part of the exhibition called "The illustrious guest" now in its ninth edition. The initiative provides for an important work to be given on temporary loan from prestigious Italian and foreign museums to the Intesa Sanpaolo exhibition sites dedicated to the promotion of art, culture and beauty: the Gallerie d'Italia, of which Palazzo Zevallos together with the 36th floor of the Turin skyscraper. To participate in the event the reservation is compulsory for groups and schools.
