Circum still in chaos. Commuters gather in assembly

The discomforts that for many days have not given respite to the travelers of the Circum continue. Commuters and travelers, who usually transit at the terminal of the Circumvesuviana of Porta Nolana, they no longer have the endless waiting for trains that are delayed or even suppressed. All this happens in the absolute lack of information on train times, leaving everyone in a useless wait. Francesco Gravetti del Mattino explained that, although it seems that for the moment it is not absolutely easy to resolve the crisis that is gripping the Circum, the company has no intention of stopping.

From tomorrow 14 November will start the new rounds of the capitreno, of the train drivers and of the traveling staff, shifts that will initially be fixed ex officio. All the staff, however, has already made it known that they will categorically refuse to work on unsafe trains and above all to agree and resign themselves to any overtime shifts.

And while at Porta Nolana in these hours a spontaneous assembly of commuters is being held who want to try to better understand the conditions in which the company finds itself and what is the future they must expect, the representatives of the Bear, the union that collects most of the machinists, are handing out a leaflet on which it is written: “I workers are not passively subjected to media attacks by managers who in a pretext way bring only part of the problem to the attention of the public, omitting their great responsibilities on personnel management, on the painful state of trains, lines railways and anything else related to this railway that boasts a glorious past and 122 years of life".

Luca Del Prete, train driver and manager of the Orsa union, strongly wanted to clarify that: “We ask customers to inform themselves and not believe the news that is manipulated or artificially spread to blame the staff and throw users at them. WE ARE NOT THERE!!! Let it be known that the cancellations of the trips are due to the lack of the criteria and safety standards that are prescribed and indispensable for making a train travel and not to the agitation of the staff which - if there were any - would be aimed at litigation towards the measures corporate and certainly not to penalizing the traveller. Ultimately, we workers of the Circumvesuviana reiterate that: WE ARE NOT AGITATED: THERE ARE BREAKING DOWN TRAINS!”
