Coronavirus emergency: here's how to get INPS shopping vouchers and allowances!
For the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus around € 400 million were paid directly to Italian municipalities for food vouchers to support families in difficulty.
The order signed by the head of civil protection, Angelo Borelli provides that the municipalities can distribute the 400 million allocated by the government for the purchase of shopping vouchers or to buy and distribute food and basic necessities directly.
Obviously, priority will be given to those who are not already recipients of other public support such as the Basic income, and the beneficiaries will be identified by the mayors among the families most exposed to the risks deriving from the epidemiological emergency.
How do shopping vouchers work?
It will go from a minimum of 25 euros to a maximum of 50 euros by household, but each municipality will be able to regulate itself according to needs.
Money should be enough until April 15 2020 the day on which the disbursement of the 600 euros for the weaker sections provided for by the Cura Italia decree should begin.
How to request them?
By Sunday, therefore, each municipality must make known a number to call to apply. While waiting, those who need the contribution can call the number of their Municipality and ask to obtain immediate assistance.
In addition, the list of affiliated supermarkets where the recipient of the shopping voucher can use it must also be known.
INPS allowance
As for the INPS indemnity of 600 euros, it will concern all citizens, even freelancers, the rule is to have a VAT number open by February 23, 2020. For others who have never presented themselves to the tax authorities to open their own position tax law may wait until April to get the Emergency income.
How to get it?
From April XNUMXst, just go to the INPS official website log in to MyInps and then go to Income Support Questions. There, you can send the Covid Indemnity application.
Who can request it?
- Professionals with VAT number and workers with a coordinated and continuous collaboration relationship (with the opening of the VAT number or the contract by February 23, 2020): 203,4 million euros have been made available for them.
- Self-employed workers enrolled in the Special Management of the Compulsory General Insurancethat is, artisans, traders, direct growers, colonists and sharecroppers. 2.160 million euros have been earmarked for them.
- Tourism workers and spas: seasonal employees of tourism and spas must have stopped their work between 1 January 2019 and 17 March 2020. 103,8 million euros have been allocated for them.
- Agricultural workers temporary workers: it must be shown that in 2019 at least 50 days of actual dependent agricultural work were worked. For them 396 million euros have been allocated.
- Entertainment workers enrolled in the Pension Fund for entertainment workers: you must have at least 30 daily contributions paid in 2019, have no more than 50 thousand euros of income and do not have, as of March 17, 2020, an employment relationship. For them, 48,6 million euros have been allocated.
In all cases, it is not necessary to have a pension. Furthermore, those who already take the Basic income it cannot be combined with the Covid indemnity.
