The EAV, Cumana and Circumvesuviana vehicles suspend the transport service on Sundays. Here are the replacement buses especially for healthcare workers.

The EAV communicates to all users and passengers that suspends all its transport services on Sundays starting from November 22nd until December 20th 2020. Therefore, it will not be possible to use the EAV rail vehicles during the days of 22 and 29 November, 6, 13 and 20 December as well as on the feast of8th December.
Dedicated services for suppressed lines
To partially obviate the problem, replacement automotive services are provided bus numbers to be used upon reservation. On the EAV site indicates all the bream of these buses which replace the sections of the Circumvesuviana and Cumana.
Individual service for health professionals
To favor the important work of the health workers, a individual dedicated service on call for those days.
When you need to navigate the routes managed by the EAV, for very serious and documented reasons (health, civil defense or similar personnel) a request must be sent to transferdomenica@eavsrl.it specifying the reason for the move and documenting it). The date, times, departure and arrival station must also be indicated by 19pm on each Thursday preceding the Sunday of interest.
Instead, for transfers on 8 December, the request must be sent by 19 pm on 6 December. The dedicated replacement service is active in time slots 7.00 / 9.00 and 18.00 / 20.00.
The reasons for the disservice
The motivation lies in the less use of means of transport in this period due to the new MCPD and of the entrance of Campania in red zone. The company explains that due to distance learning, therefore the absence of students who go to school, the increase in smart working and the closure of many catering and commercial activities, the use of buses and trains has dropped significantly especially on Sundays.
Also, it is important manage financial resources more wisely to try to achieve budget balance. This is always what we read in the EAV press release.
For all these reasons, despite the fact that additional bus services had also been arranged in recent weeks, also due to the mandatory capacity reduced to 50%, the decision was made to suspend the service on Sunday.
