For the first time, the Mother Museum of Naples adheres to the IX Giornata del Contemporaneo. Free admission to the museum and program of events
La Contemporary Day is an event organized by the association AMACI (Friends of Contemporary Art Museums), with the aim of spreading contemporary art to the public and making them aware of the new artistic and expressive languages.
For the occasion all the museums of contemporary art all over Italy, participating in the initiative, open their doors for free to visitors, involving them in a series of events, workshops, conferences, seminars, created ad hoc, and obviously visiting the exhibitions and exhibitions in progress in each museum.
Il Mother Museum of Naples participates for the first time in the Contemporary Day, now in its year IX edition, to be held Saturday October 5 2013 all over Italy. An event not to be missed and which has a particular significance for the role of promoting contemporary art that is still not easy to fill in a country like Italy, and especially in Naples. Even if AMACI succeeds with success and excellent results in carrying out its initiative, as shown by the numbers of 2012: 800 participating museums, 230 thousand visitors who participated in a full immersion in the contemporary world.

Workshop for children aged 6 to 10 on the German Pop Art artist Thomas Bayrle. At the end in the Re_PUBBLICA MADRE room all the children will create a large collective work inspired by the artist's works exhibited in the room.
