Cultural events, meetings and debates for the 2017 Memorial Day in Naples.
From January 23 27 2017 to also the city of Naples will participate in the celebration of thethe Week of memory in memory of the Shoa.
The program provides cultural initiatives, public meetings and official celebrations apt to tell the terrible extermination of the Jews and to sensitize the citizens on the contemporary problem of refugees.
The focus of the event will be the Convent of San Domenico Maggiore where the exhibition is exhibited Stories of toys. From the eighteenth century to Barbie which, through play, wants to teach children to overcome any gender and race discrimination. The event is dedicated to Ernest Lossa, the gypsy child victim of the Nazi eugenics campaign.
Also on this thematic thread will be organized debates and meetings entitled "The game of Memory. Not to forget“, Including an appointment with the director Francesco Patierno who will talk about his recent film Naples '44.
Moreover, at the Pierrot cinema in Naples a series of meetings and films about Shoah, intolerance and racism will be held throughout the month of January.
