The 2019 Zeppola Festival will take place in Sant'Eustachio di Montoro: an unmissable event for gourmands!
Le donuts are a typical sweet of the tradition of Sant'Eustachio di Montoro and they will be the protagonists of the Feast of the zeppola from the 13 to the 15 September 2019: it is very soft fried donuts covered with sugar that can be stuffed with custard and Nutella to make happy gourmets of all ages. The dough is very similar to the one used for the preparation of braces Neapolitans, whose name derives directly from donuts transalpine.
During the party the donuts will come fried at the moment or baked in the oven for a lighter but equally tasty version.
In addition to the classic sweets of Sant'Eustachio di Montoro during the festival it will be possible to taste other typical products of the avellinese street food, like wood-fired pizzas e sandwiches with sausage and aubergines in oil of artisan preparation.
Like during any self-respecting festival, they will not be lacking dance music and entertainment, but absolute calm will be the tranquil and fascinating atmosphere of this small Avellino village.
