Casatiello for the festival in Sant'Arpino

A festival to taste the famous Casatiello Neapolitan and other specialties of the Atellan village of Sant'Arpino (CE). From 6 to 8 June 2014

Who said that the Casatiello do you prepare only during Easter? TO Sant'Arpino, in the province of Caserta, the tasty Neapolitan country stuffed with cured meats, cicoli, pepper, lard, eggs and cold cuts, is the protagonist of a festival that has been held for twenty-two years and will be repeated from 6 to 8 June 2014.

La Festival of the Casatiello was organized for the first time in the late eighties by the Pro Loco Sant'Arpino to celebrate the flavors of the peasant tradition and to pay homage to an ancient custom according to which the Atellans, to celebrate spring and Easter, gathered in front of the monasterial complex of San Francesco di Paola, then in front of the Romitorio di San Canione, to consume the Casatiello, a rustic but genuine rustic, in a party atmosphere characterized by folk songs, music and dances.
