Fireflies and Sibilla al Lago d'Averno: nature, archeology and wine in the Campi Flegrei.
The association Phlegraean Fields Archaeological Group invites everyone, the1, 8 and 22 June 2019, at the seventh edition of the appointment with "Lucciole e Sibilla"which is one evening visit to Averno Lake. We go to the discovery of the Fireflies inside the protected area of the Regional park of the Phlegraean fields.
Lake Averno was known by the ancients as "aornos", meaning "without birds" and for this reason it was considered the gateway to the underworld. It is a place full of historical-literary reminiscences: here perhaps we can better understand the myths of Ulysses ed Aeneas and the poetry of Dante Alighieri. But one can also simply abandon oneself to the suggestion and the overwhelming beauty of the places.
The archaeological and naturalistic itinerary is accompanied by touristic guides regional.
The visit includes the farm Mirabella, where guests can enjoy a delicious aperitif accompanied by the house wine.
