Unmissable appointment at the Monumental Complex of the Girolamini of Naples: extraordinary guided tours are scheduled!
From February to April 2020 the extraordinary Monumental Complex of the Girolamini in Naples it will open its doors in an absolutely exceptional way to welcome all visitors.
In fact, the majestic complex, currently closed for major restoration works, will offer the possibility of carrying out some guided tours totally special by CoopCulture. The first date is Sunday 9 February 2020.
During the guided tour you will be able to admire recent finds of antiques, together with some volumes of the precious collection of the Library which will be exposed to the public for the first time
The Monumental Complex of the Girolamini
The beautiful Monumental Complex of the Girolamini was erected between the end of the sixteenth and the middle of the seventeenth century, immediately classifying itself as ano of the most important cultural centers of the city of Naples.
As far back as 1866 it was declared National Monument and over time it was enlarged and enriched with important works.
The complex, which owes its name to the religious followers of San Filippo Neri who met in the church of San Girolamo della Carità in Rome, includes the monumental church, located in piazza Girolamini along the decumanus of via dei Tribunali, the picture gallery and the famous library. Reservation is mandatory.
