Finally completed the last work that the artist Jorit has achieved a bacoli, Its Sibilla Cumana that with proud eyes sends a message of important strength.
The Cumaean Sibyl of Jorit
Located a few steps from the municipal villa, in via Gaetano de Rosa, the new work of the street artist Jorit which depicts the Sibilla Cumana.
This mythological figure is described in important works such as the Aeneid, and it was one priestess which took place near the Lake of Averno its oracular activity.
The Sibilla artist wanted to portray the intense, vibrant, energetic gaze that is reflected in the water and that looks at the future without any fear.
In the painting it is also possible to notice the clear tribute to Piscina Mirabilis, which is located near this new work.
The artist's hidden message
Below the mural, as always, the artist left a hidden message, which greatly amplifies the meaning of his work.
With intense words therefore it is addressed especially to young people: “It is important to remember that we live in a place that saw art, philosophy and social struggles flourish. We respect all the rules and look to the future with the same eyes as the Sibyl: determined and without fear ".
And this is the particularity captured in the gaze of the Sibilla, to invite you to look to our future with the same courage and determination.
