The National Archaeological Museum of Naples shows online the preview of the 19.34 exhibition, forty years later, in memory of the 1980 earthquake!

The MANN, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, today November 23, 2020 will show on its social pages, Facebook and Instagram and on Marechiarofilm platform, the preview of the suggestive exhibition 19.34, forty years later, the story live. 

It is a beautiful and exciting exhibition in memory of the 1980 earthquake which devastated the Campania region and in particular some areas of Avellino, which, however, was postponed due to the Coronavirus and the subsequent closure of the Museums.

The exhibition will include approx one hundred unpublished images by director Antonietta De Lillo, who at the time was a photojournalist for famous newspapers and weeklies. You can then accomplish a real journey through time, at 19:34 on 23 November, and thus arrive at 1980 observing suggestive images, in black and white, of the days immediately following the earthquake.

In the morning there will also be really suggestive images that will concern the MANN and the damage it suffered due to the earthquake with a documentary, in which the archaeologist Antonio De Simone, will remember the day when a group of experts entered the Museum to estimate the damage suffered.

To participate in the memory of the 1980 earthquake, just connect to Facebook pages and Instagram of the Museum or on the Marechiarofilm platform, where the images will be visible for 10 days. Furthermore, at 13:00 the MANN will also propose some unpublished images of the new staging of Terrae Motus.
