Work continues on Station Naples Cathedral, new art meter that will open definitively in March 2021.
The opening date should have been earlier, but this bad period of sanitary emergency public works are also slowing down and, precisely because of the Coronavirus positivity of some workers construction site, this work will also go more slowly.
Yet when it is finally open, it will become one of the most beautiful Art Stations of Naples and, certainly, to the world.
The Duomo Station: a subway of unparalleled art
The project was carried out by the architect Massimiliano Fuksas and by his wife Doriana Mandrelli and it is an example of a perfect balance between ancient and modern.
As we now know, in fact, a few years ago, among the excavations, the beautiful remains of the Temple of the Isolympic Games, one of the most important archaeological finds of recent years in Naples. The area will become a real museum inside the station, with hexagonal, colored light effects that will follow the alternation of sunrise and sunset.
As mentioned, however, themodern element will not be outdone and the entrance to the subway will be through one large transparent dome placed in Piazza Nicola Amore, at the beginning of via Duomo.
We can't wait to see the project realized and to finally use this beautiful Art Station.
