A new Metrò del Mare is born to connect Naples, Cilento and the cities of northern Italy

Lines by sea and rail transport will connect Naples, Cilento, Capri and the cities of the north thanks to the Cilento Blu Club project!

A new project designed by the Campania Region and called Cilento Blu Club it will restart a sort of new Metrò del Mare in an alternative and wider way.

In fact, thanks to funding from the Region and MibAct, an integrated transport system will be included means on iron e mobility by sea and will connect Naples, Cilento and the main cities of northern Italy. Milan, Bologna, Florence and Rome will be the ones from which it will be easier to reach the area of Cilento, Napoli, Salerno, Amalfi Coast e Capri.

The expressions of interest have already been launched for the Italian State Railways and Italo for the extension of the high-speed lines from Salerno to Sapri. At the beginning of February the tender will be announced for the choice of the shipping company that will take care of the routes, while between April and May the communication lines will be realized with the northern cities.
In this way, we want to increase the tourist flow from the north to our areas, making travel easier.
The new transport lines will be 3, active 10 from July to August 31 2016. We list them below.

The lines

1 Line: Salerno - Costa del Cilento

Connections to / from Salerno for: Agropoli, San Marco, Acciaroli, Casal Velino, Pisciotta, Palinuro Camerota (Saturday and Sunday).

2 Line: Cilento-Amalfi Coast

Connections from Salerno to: Agropoli, San Marco, Amalfi, Positano, (connecting to Capri) (from Monday to Friday).

3 / A Line: Cilento (Sapri- Capri - Naples)

Connections from Sapri to: Camerota, Pisciotta, Casal Velino, Capri and Naples (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

3 / B Line: Cilento (Sapri - Capri - Naples)

A / R connections from Sapri to Palinuro, Acciaroli, San Marco, Capri and Naples (Monday and Friday).
