Bars and wineries in Campania must close at 1 am: the nightlife time has been extended.

Vincenzo De Luca does a partial turnaround as regards the time of the "curfew" for the nightlife in Campania and the new ordinance provides for the closing of bars and wineries at 1 am.

In fact, the first decision set the closure at 23.00, while now it lasts two hours and the sale of takeaway alcohol is prohibited from 22.00.

The words of the mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris, who had considered the decision to limit the nightlife too tough, probably also had some weight.

Regarding the opening, the 5 o'clock time remains allowed and the administration of drinks must be done exclusively at the counter or at the table starting from 22.00.

Times and rules to be respected

So, in detail, the ordinance, again to contain the Coronavirus infection, provides for the following:

  • after 22.00 the sale of takeaway alcohol is prohibited by every business including bars, wineries, kiosks, pizzerias, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets and in vending machines
  • from hour to hour 22.00 6.00 It is forbidden to consume alcoholic drinks in public areas and in those open to the public, including villas and municipal parks
  •  bars, wineries, bars, ice cream parlors, patisseries, kiosks and even street vendors of drinks can open from 5.00 and must close at 1, while from 22.00 alcohol can only be sold at the counter or tables
