Naples is preparing to welcome the upcoming Christmas holidays with a rich program of initiatives interesting that cover the fields of art and culture, but also of simple leisure and shopping.
And right Naples City Christmas is the name of the review that includes all these events and which will last until 11 January 2015.
A calendar that includes theatrical and musical performances, gospel concerts and classical concerts in churches, guided tours, street shows, exhibition, exhibitions.
Specifically, they will be organized mainly guided tours and reading dedicated to the Angevin Naples that will be possible to know through the six thematic itineraries prepared for the occasion and ranging from Castel Nuovo to Santa Chiara, from the Cathedral to San Pietro a Maiella, from the Church of Sant'Eligio to Castel Nuovo. Above all, the art of the Angevins will be known with visits to museums and guided tours prepared ad hoc.
But let's look at some of the most important events scheduled from here to January especially the weekends will be enriched of the Neapolitans.

20-21 / 27-28 December 2014 and 3-4 / 6 January 2015
The Itinerary ... from Castel Nuovo to Santa Chiara
10.30 hours | Appointment: exterior Castel Nuovo
It will start from the Angioino Mschio, the symbol par excellence of the homonymous dynasty and will continue via Medina until the Monastic Complex of Santa Chiara, another symbol, but religious, of the Angevins.
II Itinerary ... from the Cathedral to San Pietro a Maiella

We will start from the Neapolitan Cathedral, to continue towards the Church of Sant'Agrippino in Forcella, up to the Church of San Pietro a Majella, where once there were two female monasteries.
III Itinerary ... from the Church of Sant'Eligio to Castel Nuovo
10.30 hours | Appointment: outside the Church of Sant'Eligio
From the church of Sant'Eligio Maggiore, the oldest of the Angevin era in Naples, you will walk the streets that are in the surroundings to discover the toponymy that made the commercial activity of Naples flourish in the Angevin period. Our city was the reference point for the Mediterranean routes
IV Itinerary ... The last Angevins

We will follow the history of the last Angevin sovereigns among the religious architecture of the most important churches such as San Giovanni Maggiore, up to the Palazzo Pappacoda. You will walk through the streets on which the history of our city has been made thanks to this great dynasty.
V Itinerary ... Angevin art in museums, the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro

The Angevin teachers were also very devoted to San Gennaro, so much so that they showed constant veneration towards the patron. Charles II of Anjou asked for the construction of the gold and silver bust in which the bones of the skull are kept, while Robert of Anjou the realization of the silver case to keep the ampoules with the blood.

I Sedili they were the Parliaments of the city where the delegates of the various districts who managed the administrative, juridical and judicial allocations of the city gathered. A walk to their discovery, from the Seat of the Nile to that of the People.
