Are you ready for the Kiss Festival? Get ready to participate in the #cuoredinapoli route
There are now a few days to go to the highly anticipated Festival of the Kiss in the city of Naples, an event now in its III edition, conceived and created by the students of the School of New Technologies of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts and which this year will have as its main concept the #cuoredinapoli. The appointment is scheduled for Friday 21 March 2014.
What is the Kiss Festival
Il Festival of the Kiss is a sculpture that consists of people and relationships and aims to create synergy and urban relational sharing through art and the new possibilities offered by the new digital frontiers, transforming the citizens themselves into the beating heart of the city, in its own vital flow. Only in this way can we finally create a fusion between the digital / virtual world and the physical / real world, which have never been so close.
Why Kiss Festival?
The "Kiss" is the most widespread non-verbal communication in the world, the impact that frees energy and transforms. On the transformation of it we built the Kiss Festival: the party of an entire city which, on the basis of a common territory, looks for new ways of exchange.
Viral events that preceded the Kiss Festival
Il Festival of the Kiss it was preceded by some artistic and multimedia creations, created by the students themselves, who “invaded” the city of Naples. Like the huge red heart pixellated placed on the hill of San Martino al Vomero visible from the 14 February, Valentine's Day, and the video We are happy from Naples, remake of the video Happy by Pharrel Williams, who has depopulated the web, obtaining thousands and thousands of views. In short, many "viral" events to express love for our city. But little pixellated hearts they appeared almost everywhere in the city, even in the most unthinkable places.
What will happen on 21 March 2014
But the beauty has yet to arrive! Because it will be the 21 March 2014 the day on which the mega-event will take place Festival of the Kiss, which will transform the city of Naples into one great anthropological-relational sculpture, located within the urban fabric of the city, from the historic center to the Vomero hill, along a route of about 6 km. There are two installations that will determine it: "Heart", the luminous sculpture of San Martino, ed "Soul", an installation that will be completed at the Academy of Fine Arts, composed of about 400 cubes in red Plexiglas, an anamorphic that is completed by revealing a beating heart, urging the observer to physically cross the space.

The path #cuoredinapoli it will start from the historic Galleria Principe in the ancient center of the city and will arrive at Piazza Vanvitelli on the Vomero hill passing along via Toledo. Anyone who passes through this area on March 21 will become part of this relational sculpture, thus participating in an immense collective work, at the same time covering the role of actor and spectator.
The commercial establishments who are part of the path will set up their own theme windows and they will be open until 22. You will be able to admire the installation "Soul" at the Academy of Fine Arts and the works of the students that will dot the path, while in Piazza del Plebiscito there will be one screen of 60 square meters through which you can interact with the #cuoredinapoli.

Parallel to the official website of the Kiss Festival you can "sculpt" a digital version of #cuoredinapoli by posting on Instagram a photo of the city of Naples, which is representative of the concept, adding the hashtag #cuoredinapoli.
