The Toa Mata Band orchestra, made with Lego, will be in concert at the Moses club in Naples!
Giuseppe Acito, sound designer and producer of electronic music, has conceived and organized an unusual orchestra, baptized Toa Mata Band, composed by eight chubby musicians and… Lego, who will also perform at Napoli il 9 January 2016 at the local Moses.
The members of the “mechatronics” orchestra, in fact, are built with the famous Lego bricks and are inspired by the characters of the “Lego Bionicle” series. This is the first in the world of this kind and on the stage there will be eight of these little characters, animated by a system of motors, pulleys and elastics and programmed to play various and complex instruments such as acoustic percussion, xylophonessmartphone old videogames consoles and recycled food packs.
Thanks to the use of a sophisticated Midi sequence controlled by the microcontroller "Arduino Uno ”, the sound produced by the orchestra is very realistic. The special band, which has already published several successful experimental videos on youtube, will perform live at the multicultural venue Moses near via Foria, offering a heterogeneous and exceptional musical repertoire, with tributes to Depeche Mode and Daft Punk, making samples of electronic and exciting music cover of famous songs of the eighties.
