Christmas and Covid-19: the hypotheses on the new rules

Giuseppe Conte

Coronavirus emergency: here are the new rules of the new decree regarding Christmas and New Year's dinners!

The 4 December 2020 there will be an announcement by the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, Of a new decree, again in the context of the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus, a decree that should contain the new measures which will affect the Christmas holidays and the following New Year.

 The new decree: the holidays

The new decree that will be announced on 4 December 2020 will contain the new rules to be respected for Christmas and New Year. Surely, given the high number of infections in the various regions of Italy, they will be Parties are prohibited in both public and private places.

Christmas lunches and reunions

Probably lunches and dinners at home for the Christmas and New Year holidays will be possible but only with close relatives and with no more than six or perhaps eight people, where space in the house is sufficient to guarantee a correct spacing.

Then a family reunification will most likely be possible even for the red areas, but only if they are parents and children, spouses, cohabiting partners even if not with the same domicile, so as if it were a return home.

Transfers and curfews

The Government is also working on a plan that perhaps will also provide for movements between Regions if the number of infections has decreased and there are no more red areas. There will also be an exception to the curfew which we remember being at 22pm, which will only affect Christmas Eve between 00pm and midnight.

These are obviously the possible hypotheses, to know the new rules and recommendations for this Christmas we just have to wait until December 4th.
