The curfew starts also in Campania with the new ordinance of the Region.
After the conversation between Vincenzo De Luca with the Minister of the Interior Lamorgese, the President of the Campania Region announced that from Curfew will start on Friday 23 October 2020 and that there will be the arrival of 100 soldiers to help law enforcement in the area.
That announcement was confirmed by ordinance 83 of 22/10/2020 (available at the bottom of the page).
With a view to containing the infections from Covid-19, the sending of this number of soldiers and the blocking of activities and mobility should improve the emergency situation.
De Luca said the curfew should have started on the last weekend of October, to coincide with Halloween, but will start as early as Friday 23 October, from 23.00 pm everything will have to close, as is already happening in Lombardy.
Specifically:
- It's done obligation to close all activities commercial, social and recreational from hour to hour 23.00 5.00 the next day, every day
- Users of the businesses in operation are required to return to their residence or domicile within the 23: 30.
- From 23pm to 00am are allowed solo trips motivated by proven work needs (including the return home after work) or of extreme necessity or urgency for health reasons
- They are prohibited travel from the province of residence or domicile to other Campania provinces unless proven special needs mentioned above.
There are heavy penalties for both users and for activities that violate this curfew, with fines and forced closures of up to 30 days.
