The "Friday of the deposits" in Paestum with free openings and hundreds of works never exhibited to the public!

Il National Archaeological Museum of Paestum opens its deposits for free to the public and it will do so with a series of guided tours scheduled every Friday until the 17 June 2016.

It will be a wonderful opportunity to admire a series of works never exhibited to visitors and that are kept in deposits. For example, there are splendid paintings from the Lucanian age. This initial phase is experimental and is part of an extension of the regular offer of the Museum and all those who buy the ticket for the Archaeological Park of Paestum.

The works of deposits

In addition to the aforementioned paintings from the Lucanian age, they can also be seen during the "Friday of the deposits" hundreds of painted tombs from the XNUMXth and XNUMXrd centuries. B.C
Furthermore, it must be said that in reality the Lucanian plates are not purely of that age and not even Greek, but they are configured as the expression of a more varied and mixed culture that includes various intercultural contacts.

Visit

The visits are free and can participate up to a maximum of 25 Guests for each turn. Everyone must have the ticket of the Archaeological Park and the appointments are at the Museum ticket office at 11.00 and 14.00. Each visit lasts 40 minutes and will be the assistants to the fruition and the restorers of the Museum to take care of them.

We remember that in Pompeii and Herculaneum there are evening visits to 2 euro , Royal Palace of Caserta will be open on Saturday evening.
