The Pompeii site offers visitors new unmissable routes, with fantastic new places to admire.
The excavations of Pompei are preparing from June 9 to welcome visitors to offer a much wider offer with new routes suggestive.
The itineraries
Two weeks after the reopening of the Pompeii site, from the previous single path we pass to different itineraries and it will be possible to access from the entrances of Porta Marina and Piazza Anfiteatro.
Among the itineraries not to be missed by accessing from Porta Marina there is a visit at Suburban Baths, which will finally be usable after a period of maintenance.
Going to the Forum and getting lost among all the religious and public monuments, you can move north where there is Casa del Fauno and verse Vesuvius street, to visit the domus of the Golden Cupids or get lost in contemplation of the fresco of Leda and the swan.
There is also an all - green itinerary where passing through the garden of the Palestra Grande or in the Amphitheater and crossing i Praedia by Giulia Felice, you can also go to visit Octavio Quartio's house where there is a wonderful canal with pools.
Then we come to the domus of the Europa ship, which shows visitors for the very first time the vineyard on the back, where wine was once produced and which was restored based on historical sources and Jashemski's investigations.
Do not miss the path that leads to the cart for the transport of goods which has been preserved in the house of Menandro.
In the path that goes from the Amphitheater you can then cross the Porta Nocera necropolis visiting lgarden of the Fuggiaschi or the domus of Cornelio Rufo recently reopened.
Access to the Pompeii site: fare ranges
For times visit site Pompei, remain unchanged from 9:00 to 19:00, with last entry at 17:30.
Tickets can only be purchased on the TicketOne website (see link at the end of the article) and there are two price ranges:
- the first from 14,50 euros with a pre-sale of 1,50 euros on the site for the entrances ranging from 9:00 to 16:45
- the second at a cost of 10 euros with 1,50 presale for the entrances that go from 16:45 to 17:30.
The visitor will have the opportunity to choose the time slot favorite and the itinerary and must show at the entrance the paper ticket printed at home or through your own smartphone.
It will also come extended the number of accesses to 150 people every 15 minutes and will stay the obligation to wear a mask and to respect the distance of one meter by each person in open places and 1,50 in indoor places.
Expected for all visitors body temperature measurement at the entrance with thermoscanner.
