The Mayor of Pozzuoli closes the Lungomare during the weekend to avoid gatherings!

The mayor of Pozzuoli, Vincenzo Figliolia, signed an order establishing the closure of the Lungomare di Pozzuoli, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2020.

The decision taken by the mayor of Pozzuoli is a consequence of what happened on the weekend of last week, in which the Lungomare was totally stormed, with gatherings and incorrect behavior by citizens, completely in disagreement with the rules to follow to limit infection with Coronavirus.

The decision of the mayor Figliolia was therefore inevitable to avoid the worst and to remind everyone that the emergency phase is not over yet. 

So Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2020 the total closure of the Lungomare Pertini and the stretch of promenade that goes from "Vicienzo a mare" to the foot of the Rione Terra. The ban will affect everyone the areas of the promenade and the green areas.

In addition all play areas for children and sports areas will be closed, it will not be possible to carry out play or recreational activities outdoors in the following days. Villa Avellino, the Oasis of Monte Nuovo and the Urban Park of Via Vecchia delle Vigne will also be closed.

For offenders will be provided fines from 400 to 3000 euros.
