Sanctuary of Maria Francesca of the Five Wounds in Naples

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is dedicated to Santa Maria Francesca, a nun strictly linked to the cult of motherhood and who would have predicted many future events to the faithful and priests. It was proclaimed Blessed by Pope Gregory XVI and canonized by Pope Pius IX. It is the first Neapolitan church of the church.

Structure

Besides the sanctuary it is possible to visit the house and the museum dedicated to Santa Maria Francesca and the "chair of fertility" on which the young women sit down to ask for the grace of a pregnancy to the saint.
