The virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum is renewed and offers for the occasion a special free admission to all visitors!
Saturday November 23 2019 at 10: 30, the MAV, the Virtual Archaeological Museum located at Herculaneum in the province of Naples, it will present the public and visitors on brand new set up.
On the occasion of the event it will be possible enter the museum for free from 10:30 to 16:00, and you can have the opportunity to relive, thanks to modern technologies, all the history of the city of Herculaneum and of course theeruption of Vesuvius who destroyed it in 79, covering it with ash, lapilli and mud.
The installations of the MAV Museum
The museum has been enriched with four brand new installations: a new installation management software system, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), all to involve spectators even more and make them live a exciting journey .
The novelty certainly more interesting is Back To Life, a new attraction, in Italy for the first time, which uses hololens technology applied to an archaeological find, presenting it to visitors as if it had actually traveled through time.
