No extension for the free ring road in Naples, so you have to pay the toll again!
The provision that provides for the gratuity of the Naples Bypass ends today Tuesday 5 November 2019 at 23.59, so you will return to pay the toll booth every time you enter and leave.
According to the Regional Councilor of Campania Francesco Emilio Borrelli, the provision should be extended and last at least until the criticalities relating to the Capodichino viaduct end. At that height, too, there is one roadway reduction which makes the traffic even more intense than usual, creating many inconveniences for all motorists.
For the moment there is no mention of an extension of the measure to make the ring road still free, but it is hoped that at least the carriageway of the Capodichino viaduct can be reopened. Currently, as mentioned, this is closed, but a possible reopening would be suitable only for cars and not for vehicles over 7 tons, which currently cannot transit until next January 20, 2020.
